Dr. Fujiwara is Professor of the Department of Public Health and Director General of the Institute of Future Science at the Institute of Science Tokyo. His research interests include child health and development, social epidemiology, life-course epidemiology, and climate change and health. He also serves as Director of the Master of Public Health Program at the Institute of Science Tokyo. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Graduate School at Tokyo Medical and Dental University (MD, 2000; PhD, 2004) and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (MPH, 2006). He has published more than 500 peer-reviewed papers and his H-index is approximately 60.

Dr Peter A McCullough was born in Buffalo, New York, on the 29th of December 1962. During high school, he and his family moved to Wichita Falls in Texas and later settled in Grapevine. He has lived and worked in various parts of the United States, including Washington and Michigan, and he now resides in Dallas, Texas. Academic History Dr McCullough attended Baylor University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984. He then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he studied for his medical degree and graduated in June 1988. Following this, he undertook his residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, where he trained for 3 years.Upon completing his residency in 1991, Dr McCullough transferred to Grayling, Michigan, where he served for 2 years as an internal medicine attending at Mercy Hospital. Following his time at Mercy Hospital, he enrolled at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and studied a Masters degree in Public Health. After he graduated from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in 1994, he became a fellow in cardiovascular diseases at the Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Mark Feitelson received his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology in 1979 from UCLA. He was an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University from 1979-82 and was then recruited to the Fox Chase Cancer Center by Dr. Baruch Blumberg (Nobel laureate). He has since worked on the pathogenesis of hepatitis B and development of hepatocellular carcinoma on the cell and molecular levels. In 1991, Dr. Feitelson moved to Thomas Jefferson University where he became Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology. He also was director of a Molecular Diagnostics Lab in Microbiology. In 2007, Dr. Feitelson went to Temple University as a Professor of Biology. His work has been supported by NIH, industry and foundations, has more than 150 publications, and 180 abstracts. He was also the founding director of the Professional Science Master’s program in Biotechnology at Temple University. He is currently CSO of SFA Therapeutics, which is a Temple University spin-out of work from his lab. SFA has won many awards for innovation and excellence and is currently in human clinical trials for gut microbiome-based treatments for autoimmune diseases and cancer. Dr. Feitelson has 17 patents and has been a consultant for more than 10 companies since the 1980s. Dr. Feitelson has also been active in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses including microbiology, virology, and critical thinking in biology (undergraduate), overseeing Biology of Cancer (undergraduate) and microbial biotechnology (graduate). In the lab, he has mentored over 130 students since the mid-1980s, including 24 master’s students in Biology, 8 Ph.D. students in Biology, and 13 postdoctoral fellows.
